Crossbow practice

Remember the following when practicing with your crossbow.

  • A practice range must be in an open area at least 300 yards deep.
  • Target distance from the shooter is typically 20 yards.
  • Utilize a safe, solid backstop, such as a high dirt bank, behind the target.
  • Protect your eyes by wearing shooting glasses while you are cocking, loading, and shooting.
  • Be sure to check local ordinances regarding crossbow shooting before setting up a backyard range.
